In the coming weeks we will examining steps to create an effective outline. Therefore, our first speech assignment will use the Narrative Outline Template to organize the speech.

1. Read the speech resources, What is a Narrative Speech and Creating a Narrative Speech.

2. Copy and paste the Narrative Outline Template to a document (be sure the speech body has correct indenting).

3. Complete the outline with your own narrative story. Refer to the grading rubric for the Speech 1: Narrative Speech to verify your story meets speech criteria.
